- One of the grandsons of Engineer Hassan Hassib El-Defrawy, the first Egyptian inspector in the Irrigation Ministry (before him inspectors were all English engineers) and the son of Eng. Mahmoud Hassib El-Defrawy the Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Irrigation. May the Almighty Allah bless them. It is a honor for the El-Defrawy family that they are the descendents of Alhassan son of Aly ibn Abutaleb and Fatema Alzahraa the daughter of the Prophet Mohamed ibn Abdullah, peace be upon him.
